A GOLD GALA BEAUTY LOOK

Today I am talking all about a gold beauty look that I put together for a recent holiday event. The intent was to have my makeup shine just as much as my gold sequin dress! Given that, I opted for lots of highlighter, gold tone eyeshadow, as well as some shimmer! The result? A very go for the gold glow! Below you can read about all of the products that I used to achieve this festive look.

HIGHLIGHTER

When I am looking for glow and shine, rather than foundation, I use highlighter drops like these. This allows my skin to look more even and also gives me that little extra shimmer!

BRONZING POWDER

For contouring I applied a bronzer that has a warm undertone and some shimmer. This one in ‘Laguna’ is absolutely perfect for this look!

SUNSET EYESHADOW

To really give my look the gold glow I was looking for, I wanted to use a palette that featured lots of very warm tones and pigments that flare more orange. This one is excellent. With a fine brush I applied ‘Cork’, ‘Musk’ and ‘Stout’ on my upper eyelid, and ‘Bourbon’ below the eyes.

BROW GEL

No chic look is complete without a little brow gel. This is the one that I used for this look.

EYELINER

If you follow me you know this step is never missed in order to create a great cat eye. For this glam look I kept with my tried and true, Stila liquid liner.

MASCARA

Okay, the last step! I added black mascara to help my eyes really pop off of the gold undertones. This formula is excellent.
